Default Ice Maker Issues
Model Number: MSD2669KEY01   Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

My Maytag freezer will not dispence ice out of the door. I bought a new complete ice bucket assembly and no luck.

When I hold down the door release button and press the ice dispenser it turns the spline drive fine. When I place the ice bucket on the door the spline drive only catches periodically. It makes a clunking noise as it tries to spin the spline. It looks like the spline is coming up out of the door at an angle and I am guessing as the male spline is turning it is only catching the female piece intermittently.

Any ideas??

I am having a problem with water running back in the ice bucket after filling. I replaced the motor modual and still having same problem. What else can I do?
