The water line to the dispenser on a side by side is not visible under fridge. I assume the line is broken somewhere in the freezer door. I do not see any hole at bottom of the door hinge where it would exit. There is a 1/4 to 5/16 coupler underneath that it looks like the line in the door should be attached to. The hose is attached at the dispenser. Does any one know how to find the missing hose in the door? Please help.

Did you mean that there is nothing attached to that connector? Did you a water filter? If you did, where this filter is installed? It is very strange but there is no water filter shown at the diagrams. Thanks for the reply. You are right there is nothing attached to the 1/4" side that goes up to the dispenser. On the inlet or 5/16" side of the coupler it runs back to the inlet water valve. I just can not find how the line should be run up to the door dispenser. I do not see any hole in bottom of the hinge for access. Any suggestions are appreciated. Originally Posted by: Gene

Did you see a water filter?
Did the water dispenser work before?
If there is nothing attached to the 1/4" end of the connector then it should leak water wherever you push the water dispenser lever. Does it?

Yes when you push water dispenser it does leak water from fitting under fridge. Would this line go up through the inside of fridge? I see no opening in lower hinge to run line up to dispenser. Here is what I have. From inlet water solenoid runs a 5/16" line to left front where a connetor/coupling is just hanging there with no line coming out of it. How do I get 1/4" line from coupling up to dispenser? Please help!! Thank you, Mike

You did not say anything about water filter. You also did not mention if the water dispenser ever worked.

Gene. Sorry about that. Yes I was told that the water dispenser did work before. It evidently got disconnected or cut while in storage. Also there is no filter on the fridge. I just need to know where the water line travels up to dispenser. Thanks for the reply. Mike

Hi Mike, Remove the freezer door as described in the Owners manual (page 6 & 7) and check for the hole in the bottom part of the door. Gene.
