Hey guys,
I am working on a Amana Side x Side Refrigator-Freezer. The problem is that the unit will not dispense ice when the lever is pushed back. We tried this with the cube or crushed settings on the select switch and it will not dispense with either setting. I know that the water dispenser is working and the ice maker is still making ice into the catch bucket in the freezer. I believe that there may be a loose or defective switch in the control panel. I have the exploded views of freezer door and the ice and water cavity from this web site. What I do not have is instructions to access the control panel. I really need to know how to remove the covering facade over the control panel. If anyone knows how to get to the control panel with the switches, any help would be greatly appreciated.
