I have a whirlpool fridge with the IR sensor. The ice maker went bad and I replaced it. Now every time it makes ice I have to insert a screw driver in the hole where the bail arm goes and turn it down again to get it to kick out ice. The old and new one did not have the bail arm. Is there a setting or a way to keep if from resetting the arm? Please help. With the heat it is a real pain to have to go and reset it all the time.
