My daughter inadvertently left the door open night before last, for some reason the alarm didn't go off. Anyway, I didn't notice it until yesterday morning. Closed the door, put on the extreme freeze, but it wasn't cooling down. Hubby and I were concerned, so we pulled it out, cleaned underneath where the condenser is, etc. It sits next to my fridge, so we moved the frdge alittle further away, so it gets more air.
It is still running. Temp on the door is right on point at 0, finally made it there sometime around midnight....will it stop sooner or later?

Hi.

The best thing would be if you can just unplug the unit and defrost it with door open for 12 hrs.

Thank you.

Simon.

What would that do? It's an auto defrost...and also, it's kinda full, so I can't do that right now

While the door was open the ice and snow build up inside the evaporator area, blocking the air ways. That's why you should defrost the freezer.

Simon.
