Model Number: GBS20HBSAWW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Evaporator motor does not run. The motor is #AP3797248. I put 12 volts to the motor and no results. The motor plug has 4 wires and the frig plug has 3 wires, white, red, and pink. I have 13.53 volts across the white and red wires and 3.67 volts across the white and pink wires, but the voltage goes down to zero after about 15 seconds on the white to pink connection. About an hour later I measured voltages again and got 8.87 volts across white and red and 8.82 volts across the white and pink wires. I know the motor is bad, but is there anything else that could be wrong?

Your original motor assembly AP3743432 shows a four pinn connector and the replacement AP3797248 also shows a four pin connector.
See if this new motor can replace the existing one in the housing. If so, I would replace the motor with the new one and also replace the motherboard.
