Model Number: ZISW42EMB Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
I have a 15+ year old GE Monogram 42" built in side by side ZISW42EMB with the older WR30X0289 Ice Maker that needs replacement with a WR30X10093 unit. The newer model uses the 6-pin connector vs. the 4-pin round connector in the refrigerator. If I purchase the WR30X10093 ice maker it comes with the 6 to 4 pin adapter cable. However, I have another refrig with the newer model ice maker that I want to use to replace the broken one with the 4pin round connector.
Is it possible to purchase just the 6 to 4 pin adapter cable or remove the 6-pin cable from the WR30X10093 and reconnect the 4-pin cable from the broken WR30X0289? I've seen a few posts on this but it would be nice to have the exact wiring diagrams. I attached a picture of the adapter which can also be found here, GE WR30X10093 Electromechanical Icemaker Kit, AP4345120 | AppliancePartsPros.com thanks. Ads By Google Related Models |
