This kenmore unit has a freezer on top. No hose attachment no ice maker.
Noticed yesterday that it was warmer on the bottom part.
I opened up the back panel on the freezer and looked and there were no extensive ice accumulation and whatever there was I melted with hair dryer.

The freezer still gets cold but it does not get as cold as it used to get and seems the fan is not working at all . The fan I imagine is what sends the cool air to the lower part. It either does not work or does not kick in.

Not sure what the problem . I called in to get a part .. but at this point not sure what it could be

we had this unit over 4 years now. Not sure if I should just order a new one or if this is something that can be easily fixed? Would appreciate any help u can provide

The evaporator fan should be on when ever the compressor is on.

Check the voltage across the fan when the compressor is running.
If it is 120 volts and the fan does not run then the fan is toast.
