Frozen water on freezer floor
Model Number: GD5THGXKS02 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
How can I fix my Whirlpool side-by-side ref (model GD5THGXS02) that have frozen water on the freezer floor every other day? I inspected the drip underneath the ref and it's dry. There seems to be a clog in the drip tube but I could not figure out how to unclog it. Thanks.

Hi.
The condensation drain is clogged and frozen. You need to remove the rear cover in the freezer and using the blow dryer melt the ice, blocking the drain. Then with hot water and compressed air clear the tube. Be patient. Thank you. Simon.
