Freezer compartment seems to work fine; refrigerator compartment doesn't cool at all. Any/all suggestions most welcome.
Thanks,

Hi. If the evaporator fan motor is working, then most likely it's a defrost problem. Remove the cover inside the freezer: do you see the evaporator blocked with snow? Locate inside the control panel the defrost timer and using the flat screw driver slowly turn the shaft CW until the unit stops. In 5min. check if the defrost heater is working. If it's on and melting snow - replace the defrost timer. The timer Part number: 63001353
If the heater doesn't work check it and the defrost thermostat for continuity using the multimeter. The heater Part number: 63001387

I appreciate the response. However, after due deliberation, we decided to junk the Maytag and buy a new refrigerator (different brand), having already "invested" in two major repairs on a six-year-old fridge.
Again, my thanks for the response.
