Removing speednut clip from auger

Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

We are trying to replace an auger motor in a GE side by side refrigerator (Model #TFX22ZPBCWW) ice dispenser and are unable to remove the speednut clip from the auger-any suggestions on how to do so?
