Having trouble with compressor, checked winding as per your site. Start winding .9 ohms and run winding 4.6 ohms. Is this within tolerance to be good or should I have it changed. It started humming ,we replaced start cap. and it worked good for month it is not doing anything now.

Hi.

The start winding resistance is always greater then the run winding. Make sure that you are checking the correct windings.
If you are - then it's bad compressor.

Thank you.

Simon.
