My refrigerator is having issues with cooling. The freezer is working fine, but the fridge doesn't want to drop below 60-63 degrees. Everything I read says it may be the Defrost Timer, Defrost Thermostat and/or Defrost Heater. The problem is, I can not figure out how to locate these parts. I hear it could be behind some panel or behind the front kickplate. Could some please help? Thanks!!:)

Here are your parts Replacement parts for Kenmore 36350622000 | AppliancePartsPros.comIf you go to the Sears parts site they have actual part breakdowns which the like to keep in-house. Your defrost timer is in the control console in the fresh food side. Check that the fan in the freezer is running. It is required to push cold air into the fresh food section. Check that the vent lower down between the compartments is clear of food items on both sides. Check that the damper that regulates the amount of cold air entering the fresh food side is open, I cannot find a picture of it so do not know if it has it's own control thermostat. If OK remove the cover at the back of the freezer so you can inspect the evaporator coils. The defrost heater and defrost thermostat are also here. If heavily iced/frosted over you have a defrost problem. |
