BRAND: Fridgidaire
MODEL: FLSC23F6DSN

Two basic questions:
1. What tells the main board when it need to defrost?

I have a refrigerator that is capable of defrosting if I manually start the defrost cycle via a service keystroke sequence. The issue is it doesn't do it on it's own, and froze over the evaporator.

2. What is the normal defrost cycle time? How long should I let my unit run before it defrosts? (ADC vs. Timed)

I did a lot of tinkering, and testing, but didn't know how to start the sequence manually until AFTER I did. If I had a loose wire or bad connection, I may have fixed my issue.
