My Icemaker is making a constant rattling noise and it is not making much ice. I took the front off which exposed the module, and a round gear seems to be making the noise. When I put it on the 'Max' control it doesn't make any ice at all. I just shut it off completely and will turn it back on later to see if it makes a full cycle. I did notice my ice cream sandwiches in the freezer are not frozen solid so I turned the freezer up. Any other suggestions? before I just try replacing the ice maker?

The ice maker is the culprit. No doubt about it. You have to use the head cover and the shut off arm from the old ice maker.
