My freezer working, fridge side not cooling

Model Number: RS2534WW Brand: Samsung Age: 5 - 10 years

My freezer working fine, fridge side not cooling. I tried to remove fridge side back panel, it's frozen,I had to thaw it out & wait for a day. I've checked fan motor, works fine. What cause icebuild up around evaporator coil, coil at fridge side is for water & icemaker??? Do I need to replace defrost thermostat?
