Freezer temperature is warm, not freezing. Turned unit off and on at control panel in refrigerator and set the temp control level 5 for both refer and freezer. The refer code soon reverted to a flashing 4 code. Unplugged unit from wall and plugged back in, wait time 20 seconds ?. Turned on at the control panel and within a minute or two the tem contol was back blinking a code 4. My question? where can I find out what the blinking codes mean. Is there a manual, etc. Then my next question will be: what, how to resolve the code 4 problem. The refrigerator was purchased new 13 months and four days ago, so it is fairly new.

This is Jim...did more research...found parts manual and on the wiring page a notation that a flashing 4 means "damper error". Not sure about the function of the damper unit. On the diagram, it is located behind the control panel in the refer and probably opens or closes a small door. Any thoughts on how to test and confirm that the damper unit needs replacing? Also, the freezer seems to be now cooling down and the refer is cool.
