Model Number: FFU1464DW2 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
Puddle forming under freezer. Think related to pan-drain (part #216948700) not emptying and overflowing. Shut off and unpluged freezer with door open for 48 hours than pluged and turned on freezer for 24 hours. Pan-drain still full of water. What could be problem and how can i repair?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for Frigidaire FFU1464DW2 Frigidaire/freezer | AppliancePartsPros.com On these units the heat from the compressor is supposed to evaporate off the water. Check that the vents front and back are clear. I would check the door seals. Check that the doors are properly aligned. Also that the cams at the hinges are OK, they help hold the door closed. Check that the seal and the frame are clean. Check that the hinge side is not grabbing and twisting when closing. If it is a light coating of white lithium grease or vaseline should fix this. Take a 2 inch strip of paper and place it between the frame and the seal and then pull it out to check the seal. Work your way around the door. My idea is that too much warm moist air is entering the unit causing excessive frost build up on the evaporator coils so when defrost occurs there is too much water.

Thanks for suggestions. There was no tension when I pulled out strip of paper from top corner of door seal above the handle. I assume problem is weak seal in same corner. How can I fix?

Check that the unit is level or leaning a little to the back.
Check that the door cam (bearing hinge) (Item 22A in Section 2) and the hinge cam (ramp closer) (Item 26 in Section 1) are both OK. The way it works is that the door rides up/down over the cams. When closed it is on the down side of the cams and this keeps the door closed. Take a look at the door to be sure it has not been deformed (twisted). If you have a lot of items in the door racks, remove them and see if it now seals OK. If all the above are OK then I would replace the door seal. Click on the picture for more info on the part and how to install it. Part number: AP2113451
