Tammy Ramsdell: Hi. I have a whirlpool and my ice maker makes ice. It seems that it frezzes up either in the mechanism or the door part and doesnt dispense correctly

Tammy Ramsdell: I am trying to find out what the problem is and what I need.
Chenoa C: Have you checked up inside where the ice comes down to be sure there is not a chunk of ice blocking the funnel?
Tammy Ramsdell: Yes I defrosted and it worked it just clogs back up there is frozen ice on the door where the ice enters the door. Its like the tray to the ice may have a leak or something does

Most likely the ice door doesn't close completely. The best way to fix that problem is to replace the ice door kit Part number: 8201649
