The evaporater is iced up solid. The owner claims its been getting warmer inside the upper fridge section. The freezer is of the lower drawer type. Is there a defrost termination board/thermostat/clickson located somewhere? Could that be the right direction? The compressor seems to run ok along with the evap. and cond. fans seem ok.

Hi Steve,

The model number you posted does not come up. The closest model number I found is GX2SHBXVY05.

If this model number is correct then perform the troubleshooting as described in the attached tech sheet.

Thank you Gene, yes the model you show is correct, I typed a 5 instead of an S. I will try thos tests first thing tomorrow as the homeowner will be home by then. I'll let you know.

Update: The customer decided to go to war with the department store for the warrantee. So I was told to wait to see because they are afraid their warranty may be recinded?:)
