Please help me. I'm replacing the defrost heaters on my GE Profile side by side. The original style heaters are replaced with part number AP2071465. Confirmed by APPLPROS.
The old heaters have a wire harness that plug in from the top of the heaters. Allows water to run down and short out between the heater plugs and the right side wall of freezer. On mine anyway.
The new replacement part consist of two heaters, one wire harness, and a thermostat.
The heaters now plug in from the bottom of each heater and have a drip curl on the wires at connection of heaters.

Now My problem:
The white wire between the two heaters is shorter and will not allow mounting heaters in original mounting holes.
The plug connector at the other end of the harness has three male pins, and my old harness has only two. Also the new harness has a thermostat attached to the other end of third wire.
How do I do the change out from old style and this new one?
