Refrigerator door keeps making a loud noise when opening
Model Number: FRS266ZDSBA Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
This is a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator. The door for the fresh food section has made a noise when opening for a while. I changed the door hinge bearing about a year ago. It didn't get fixed 100% but it was a bit better. Now the popping sound is really loud. Following some suggestions, I took the door down and checked cabinet and door black plastic part #22. Both are in good shape (no cracks). I also checked all the hinge screws and they are tight. What else could be the problem?

Hi.
Check if the door is not riding on the lining. Most likely you will need to replace the hinge kit. Also you may check the upper hinge bearing. Thank you. Post the results. Simon.
