We began noticing water dripping from a metal plate with holes in it, which is under the dial that sets the coolness temperature inside the fridge. The water runs down the backside of the fridge and pools in the bottom underneath the two large crisper drawers. It gets so full that the water then overflows and runs out the right side of the refrigerator door. We're finding the water running and pooling onto our floor.

We've taken the entire refrigerator apart and cleaned out the long black, hooked drain tube, but again we're finding water pooling and running out to the floor.

Today also we noticed condensation on the freezer walls and the back wall of the freezer felt room temperature to the touch. We un plugged the fridge and then replugged and turned it back on. Now the freezer wall is cold again.

Could the fan motor be going out? what would cause the water to drip and run down the back side in the refrigerator part of the unit?

The water is ruining our hardwood flooring by causing it to buckle from the constant moisture.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Sounds like the problem is a frozen drain in the freezer. Remove the ice maker (if there is one) and the rear panel in the freezer. The drain hole is located under the evaporator coils. You can defrost it using a hair dryer. Run a cup of hot water through the drain to make sure it is clean.
