Sorry if I got the model number wrong on this, but I THINK it is a 106.9608212
The 106 has a "." after it, and then the 9608212 number, so I am not sure about it.
Anyway, the frig still works, sort of. It does cool, but it is not cooling properly.
I did a little research, and I think there is a problem with the evaporator fan, but I am not sure.
I can still hear the frig humming, and it is still cold, but not anywhere near what it should be. Also, it seems like it would make sense if it was a problem with the evaporator fan, since I have not heard any fan go on, in about two weeks.
Opinions?
If it is the fan, is there a way I can fix this, and does anybody have an idea how much it might cost?
I am mechanically inclined, doing all this myself is not a big deal at all.
I really hope somebody can help me out with this. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I did some more reading, and I now I am thinking it could be either the defrost timer, or the fan, or both.
Does anybody know where I can maybe find a manual, to look at, to find out how to disasemble this thing, or at least be able to tell me where the defrost timer is?

Can you hear the evaporator fan running if you open the freezer door?

Can you see a frost build up on the rear panel in the freezer?

The evaporator fan was not running no matter what.
There was a large build up of frost on the back and bottom.
I checked out some FAQs, and decided to pull the panel inside the back of the freezer, and the fan was right there.
I pulled the fan out, and it was defiantly a fan problem. The fan was difficult to turn.
I pulled the fan motor apart, and it ended up being a bearing problem on the the front of the motor.
I cleaned the bearing out with WD40 until it rotated smoothly, and almost with out effort, and then applied a liberal amount of light bearing oil.
After letting the condenser defrost for about 45 minutes, I put everything back together, and it worked perfectly.
A local appliance store wanted $116 for a new motor, and I was shocked at that, since I found a place to get it online for $58 shipped. I will probably end up getting it in a month or so, since I have a feeling my fix might only be temporary.
But hey, at least it is working now.
Thanks for responding Gene! :)

You are welcome. I'm glad you were able to find and temporary fix the problem.

By the way, you can buy the evaporator fan motor assembly for your refrigerator from Appliance Parts Pros for a little bit over $41 shipped.
