slowly lost cooling until nothing at all. all fans are on and pushing. unplugged for a couple days. just plugged back in. noticed about every 10 min the condenser would 'click', then click again a few seconds later.. this happened for a couple hours. THEN, I heard a click, the compressor kicked on, and the house smelled like fried rat. the smell went away, and the damn thing appears to be cooling. i have the cover off the freezer coils and they're getting cold. i dont think i've had a frost issue, but I'll check. should i turn this puppy off or maybe go for the compressor starter kit, or something else? btw - I also don't get water to the ice maker, but it does flow out of the door dispenser.. sooo???? whattup with that? thanks for any input !! BTW the parts diagram is hard to follow as to what exactly the start-device is.. can someone identify the part(s) number recommended for this fix?
