Model Number: 10656703500 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
The icemaker stopped working on my Kenmore Elite/Coldspot and I'm not having any luck troubleshooting it. I've searched the forums and tried a number of suggestions but still can't figure out which part is busted. Here's what I've done so far:
Optics test- Seems OK- two shorts lights, 1 sec, repeat, turns to continuous beam with flapper closed Small chunk of ice came out of water hose when squeezed, but otherwise seems clear. Sprayed some hot water into hose which didn't seem to do anything. Probed N & L test points and got no voltage HOWEVER motor runs with T & H shorted, no water comes out Does this sound like the icemaker needs to be replaced or something to do with the water line? Seems simple enough to switch out icemaker, but hate to waste the money if it's something else. Any ideas out there? Thanks, Dan Ads By Google Related Models |
