Kenmore model 253.20402000 Upright frostless freezer
Once maybe every couple of weeks or so, it starts cycling on and off, like the motor starts up and then click it shuts off about 2 or 3 seconds later and it tries again maybe 30-60 seconds later.
This goes on maybe for 8 hours (with everything melted inside) and during this time, there is not the usual swoosh when I close the door.
Then miraculously the next day it is working great and frozen and it stays fine for weeks.
This has been going on for almost 4 years, so we just don't use it.
We had a refrig repair man come but it was working by the time he arrived and said he couldn't help unless it was malfunctioning while he was there.

Next time try to pinpoint that clicking sound. It might help to diagnose the problem.
