Question Freezer door left open with bad burning motor smell
Brand: Kenmore   Age: More than 10 years

This morning my Frostless freezer in the Florida room had a bad motor smell. Some food must have opened the door. At first, we thought it must have been the burnt hotdog the night before. The door alarm oddly did not turn on right away until around an hour or more after we smelled something. Upon opening the sliding door to the florida room, it smelled bad and I unplugged it. The ice cream was still a little hard.

Is it ok to plug the freezer back tomorrow before I check for anything?

Could it be a bad compressor motor or something else that I needs to check?

Model No. 253.21041100
