my daughter has a fridgidaire ref mod # FRT18P5AW1 freezer works but the fridge box doesn't cool the defrost seems to heat then go off so i'm thinking the timer is working i'm wonderiong how to trouble shoot the fan motor:confused:

Hi. If the evaporator fan is running why do you need to check it? If it's not running - remove the rear evaporator cover and using the multimeter check if there is 120VAC between two motor contacts. If the voltage is there - replace the fan motor. The evaporator motor Part number: 5303918549

:( Fan motor was not running that's why I wanted to check it thought maybe there was a timer turning fan motor on and off.wanted to know how to apply power to motor. but power should probably be there already also when i opened this thread there was a box to download a repair manuel i didn't have time to check it out so closed out when i got back to it the box was gone how do i get the manuel back? not so cool
