When plugging power, I hear a loud buzzing noise at relay overload switch at compressor is this the switch or compressor that is bad? When i unplugged relay the frig just hummed.

My overload switch has 3 lead openings,used meter at 2 got 64 ohms other 2 got 0 then top 2 got nothing. touched where the white and red wire are on relay got 0. Got 7to12 ohms at compressor at all 3 leads?

Is the start device a mechanical relay with a coil? If so, you might want to try a new start device available on this parts site.
