Have had this fridge for 2-3 years problem free. Today, I went to use the ice despenser, and as soon as it was depressed the fridge just shut off! I did a little reading on the internet regarding troubleshooting it. I poke around the back pulling covers and cleaning dust. After fumbling and looking the fridge magically came back on! Then after about 20-30 more mins I noticed the fridge was back off and has not came back on since. I do not hear any of the common audible clicks that seem to be common with the main control board on the GE's that I've read about. I have ran through some of what this guy has said:

I cannot seem to find a start relay that he mentions. I have not tried the thermistors either. Was trying to keep doors closed on it as much as possible.

Any thoughts or ideas. Will continue to search!

I seem to be noticing the clicking with a very long pause in between. This is sounding like the Main control board. No?

Check the compressor in the back. If cold, you probably have a bad motherboard in the back, AP4436216 Remove the cover and check the back for bad solder connections. You might be able to fix it, but best to get a new one here.
