Hi everyone,
First refrigerator repair and first blog ever. Alot of learning!
We moved back to this house after being away for 7 years. The guys who were here reported days before we arrived that the "fridge stopped working". I cleaned the coils. They were totally clogged. I'd say about 7 years worth. Now everything seems to be working. Compressor runs and gets warm. Fans run. The freezer just gets a little bit cool, not cold. I can't find any spot in the system cold enough to get frosty. I've spent days searching but can't find any answers. Can anyone give me any idea if I should give up on this unit or try some repair? Thanks!

If the compressor is vibrating and the condenser coils getting warm, you have a bad compressor and most probably an evaporator leak, time for a new fridg, best to get a GE.
