whirlpool refrigerator not cooling model er2chmxplo4 - Does the fan in the freezer help cool the frig I ask because its not coming on, Freezer gets cold frig doesn't

Hi.
The evaporator fan is circulating the cold air inside the refrigerator and freezer. Without the fan running the refrigerator compartment would not get cold at all. Remove the back cover in the freezer to get to the evaporator motor. Check if it's free of ice and using the multimeter check for 120VAC at the motor leads. If there is 120V - replace the motor.
