Freezer problem
Model Number: ABB2522FEW11 Brand: Amana Age: 1 - 5 years
I seem to have a failure of the defrost system. The back of the freezer is all iced up, but temperature is high in refrigerator and freezer. I have changed the defrost thermostat. What can I do next? Thank you! Ads By Google Related Models

Hi.
Did you check the defrost thermostat before replacing? Check the defrost heater for continuity. If it's open - replace it. If both - thermostat and heater checks OK - then most likely you have a bad control board (located in the refrigerator inside the control panel). The defrost thermostat you replaced is located near the heater at the evaporator coil. Simon.

Hi,
I remove the conectors of the defrost heater and got continuty. but my question is "do I need to remove the heater from the freezer in order to tested? Thank you
