18cu. top freezer/refrigerator. freezer has everything frozen then a few days later all ice is melted and ice cream soft, a few days everything gets frozen again, and so on. We emptied, unplugged and cleaned underneath. Left off for 24 hours to be sure any ice build-up (although not seen) could melt. Plugged back in and started running. Compressor got hot but ran like a champ for a few days then shut off, nothing ran, fan, compressor, then it started up again, Compressor was not hot the second time it started running. We had frozen ice cubes last night but this am all liquid. Fan is not running nor compressor . What parts do you suggest we replace?

Set the cold control AP2151609 to the coldest setting,then measure stabilized freezer temperature, should be below zero. If ok, you probably have a bad cold control.
