Refrigerator & Freezer Repair

It won't go into the defrost cycle and has to be manually defrosted every couple of weeks. Appliance Rescue came out and said it was the thermostat in the freezer and replaced it but we are having the same problem.

The defrost heater causes this most of the time but I would assume they checked that. If the heater is ok the only thing left is the main board. Refrigerator repair guide

Unplug refrigerator, remove the motherboard cover in the back of fridg. and remove the three pin power connector. Compare the connector pins with the ones labled defr. and line/L1. Put a jumper between the mating pins on the connector. Fridg should now defrost, if so, replace the motherboard and evaporator thermister clipped to the evaporator coil in the freezer. You can look up the part #s on this site.
