Just replaced and installed a new start capacitor and overload AP4079373 (67005560) module, and refrigerator is back up and running!

When trying to re-install the retaining clip, I noticed it held the start capacitor and overload module at an odd angle (not level) to the compressor. In fact, the compressor would not kick in with the retaining clip installed - due to the angle and likely bad contact. The module currently is plugged in firmly and is running fine. Is the retaining clip needed?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi.
Basically, retainer clip is needed when you are moving the fridge.
Just keep in mind to check it after the move.

Thank you.

Simon.
