Model Number: TFX24RMA Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
I have received the parts to repair my freezer and the defrost thermostat is different and it is not clear as how to mount it to the coils. The old part had a built-on clip and the new part came with 2 brackets. Can you tell me how to mount it?

Looks like it came with instructions, were they in the package? Appears you'll put the appropriate clip over the t-stat, with the hole going over the small "post", then attach where the old one was. I can't see what the instruction sheet actually says, but it appears GE has substituted the original to this kit, which probably fits many different models.
