the freezer coils will freeze up almost to solid block of ice i defrost it and its ok for about a week then it freezes again

the ice in the ice tray starts to melt and the fridge is warm

A model number may help others help you.

The defrost usually involves a defrost heater, a defrost thermostat and a defrost timer or board.
With a model number someone may be able to help you figure out which part is bad.
