Hello,

The Ice dispenser on my refrigerator is not working properly, sometimes if I try to get ice it works and if I go and try again 10 seconds later it does not, most times it does not work at all.

The ice maker works fine and I have plenty of ice. the water dispenser works fine.

What could be the most probable cause for the failure?

Hi.
Unplug the unit.
First check the electrical plug and the wires at the freezer door top hinge.
Than, remove the dispenser frame ( using the flat screw driver start from the bottom two slats pry out working to the top).
Remove the control board and mounting bracket.
Check the micro switches and pins holding the switches.

The bracket Part number: 2180226

The switch Part number: 2162361

I finally got around fixing this, I bought the switch and I took the opportunity to replace the levers which looked worn out, I did not have to replace the switch, most probably the old lever was not making good contact as soon as I replace them it started to work. Thank you for your help, my refrigerator looks like new again, and all works.
