When opening refrigerator door, fridge side lights and control lights went out. Technician tested door switch, power to control box, stating all were good. He also check the control box next to compressor. His opinion was the 2255233 control box was bad although no burned out evidence existed on the boards. replaced the control box and no change. lights in freezer work fine, both sides cool appropriately. connection of wire junction appears tight and inserted completely. What's next?

Rsharp,
You'll need to conduct " live" voltage tests at the main control board and refrigerator light switch.
Here are the checks to make :
The main control board:
Connector P1 across pin 1 Blk and pin 2 Wht, should have 120 VAC, this is voltage into the main control board, make sure there is a good neutral circuit to the control board.
Connector P2 pin 9 ylw/rd to conn P1 pin 2 wht should have 120 VAC, This circuit is power to the ref. light switch.
With the refriigerator door closed, check connector P2 pin 3 Ylw to connector P1 pin 2 wht for 120 VAC, There should be no voltage, Open the refrigerator door and 120 VAC should be present on the same wires.
You will also want to conduct the same voltage checks at the refrigerator light switch and light bulb sockets.
If all's OK and the neutral line to the control checks proper, the best guess would be an issue with the ylw/rd wire from the control board to the ref. door light switch, or the light switch itself, since the interior light and the display wont illuminate.

Thanks and Good Luck,
