Water in door stopped working;water line in door has frozen in past, so I disconnected water line at bottom of door; when I depressed paddle, water came out of supply side, so I assumed line had frozen again. left it disconnected for several hours, came back to test. Now nothing happens when I depress paddle; no water, no ice. Can hear microswitch click, chute door opens when I try ice. No water flowing at disconected line. No motor turning to deliver ice. What is wrong? Apparently control panel is not sending signal to water valve or ice or motors.
Does anyone know wha is wrong and how to repair? Thanks

Hi.
Check the disconnect plug at the bottom near the water line.

Thanks! The plug was loose (probably because of my disconnection of the water line. I had sort of check it out earlier, but the connector appeared to be closed. I snapped it shut and ice functions now work.
However, my original problem persists. The water line has ice blockage somewhere near the dispenser. I ran a small cable into the line from the bottom disconnect position as far as I dared; it went up to close to the dispenser head before it stopped. Any suggestions as to how to clean / defrost this line (short of keeping freezer door open for hours; I did this once a year or so ago with a blanket draped over the freezer compartmant, but it took a long tine and was a real pain in the neck). Know of any safe device to clean it out?

Hi.
There is no short cuts. GE recommend to replace the hole door. Let me know if you decide to do that.

Simon. That sounds like Ford telling me to replace my engine because I have a bad spark plug wire. They want to replace the whole door? Amazing. If it is a bad door design problem one might think they would issue a recall or provide a repair. One might think, but one would be wrong. I'm using the old "clean out the freezer and cover it with a blanket while the ice melts in the line" technique. Hope it works again!

All is working fine Thanks for help
