Terminal cover
Model Number: jcb2388arq Brand: Jenn-Air Age: 5 - 10 years
Does the terminal cover contain a non metallic disc inside? ( It's a smallish white box which houses the overload and start relay for the compressor.) The disc inside of mine is broken, thus rattles and is no good. I just want to know if the terminal cover is what I need .

Inside the cover, do you have a small, black plastic ptc device and a narrow, white overload klixon. If so,note everything it is wired, then order a new ptc device AP3601983

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for Jenn-Air JCB2388ARQ REF - SXS | AppliancePartsPros.com Take a look at Section 1. Terminal cover (Item 7) is just the cover. I think the part you want is the Overload (Item 5) Could also be the start relay (Item 4)

Thanks Richappy and Denman. Well, turns out the part I had was a generic replaced part. I now have a new Start-Relay and also needed the jumper wire as there had been a recall on this part years ago. It plugged back in and the refrigerator/ freezer are cooling down again.
