My (brand new -38 days old!) Whirlpool Gold refrigerator and freezer has stopped cooling. It is running and actually makes a "clicking" noise every 1-2 min. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the compressor is trying to start but for some reason cannot.
This could be the start device (Item 10 in Section 12), the compressor itself (Item 28 is Section 12) or the capacitor (Item 13 in Section 12).

The most common is the start device (not sure why there are 2 of them shown), then the compressor and very rarely the capacitor.

Note: That even if the compressor checks out OK electrically, it still be the culprit due to internal mechanical problems.
Also the capacitor check does not rule it out as they can fail when full voltage is applied to them.
