whirlpool ice maker

Model Number: ED25DXQXN00 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years

I just replaced the ice maker on my Whirlpool frig and it still does not fill with water to make ice. When I jump "V" and "L" as suggested to check the water valve it does fill with water. And I do get water out the front of the door so I would guess the water valve is OK. What else could be stopping it from filling with water?
