Ice maker not getting water
Model Number: TFX25CRYFWW Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
My icemaker is not getting water. I changed the water valve - no change. I added water to the icemaker and it made ice and dumped it. The water tube from the water valve has air in it. I thought it would be pushed out when the water valve opened, but it hasn't opened. Is there a way to jump wires to force it to deliver water? Does the solenoid signal the water valve to turn on? BTW, my water despenser in the door gives water, so that side of the valve works.

Locate the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. Swap the wires between the solenoids. Press the water dispenser lever for a few seconds and check if there is water in the ice maker.
If there is no water, replace the water inlet valve. If there is water, replace the ice maker. GE has redesigned the ice maker and it can look different.
