Hello,
I recently got a Side by side counter depth Kitchen Aid Fridge (25 cu. ft) made approximitly in 2003.
The fridge side seems to work fine, but the freezer seems almost like it keeps running. Both sides seem to stay at a good temperature and keep the food frozen/cool, but in the freezer it seems like the fan continues to run all or almost all of the time. Even after turning the temperature down in the freezer the fan still runs pretty much all of the time.
It may just be me as I have never had a newer/nicer fridge before, just older ones, so im not sure if maybe its supposed to continuously circulate the air or something.
But any help would be appreciated, Ive already cleaned everything I can out, including coils underneath before I started using it just to make sure. The only problem the lady I got it off of had with the fridge was the water was not running through properly (no big deal i dont use it anyway) if that helps at all.

I would not worry about the evaporator/freezer fan too much.
It has to circulate the air through both the freezer and fresh food sides.
One thing to look out for is that there is usually a vent lower down on the side wall between the section. Do not block either side with food etc. as it is critical for proper air circulation.

Is the compressor cycling as it should?
You can usually hear it.
If the compressor runs all the time then you have a problem.

You could also check your temperatures.
The freezer should be 0 to 5 degrees F.
The fresh food should be 40 degrees F or a couple degrees colder
