GE tube ice maker freezing but ice maker works

tube that despences water to the ice maker freezes but ice maker works

The water inlet valve is causing this. What happens is water will leak through the valve slowly when the valve is not energized. When this happens the water will freeze before it gets to the icemaker and eventually clogging the tube. Replace the water valve. Refrigerator repair guide
