My icemaker was making empty ice cubes a few years ago. We replaced water inlet valve. That seemed to fix problem. After about 4 years, it is now either not making ice, making empty cubes and yesterday, I noticed water leaking to the refridgerator floor (presumably from icemaker) and the purchased ice in the bin frozen solid. We have very hard water. Not sure if icemaker needs to be replaced or water inlet valve, again. Is there a way to determine which to start with??? Thanks.

Hi.

Check if the icemaker overflows or just leaking.
If it's leaking - replace the icemaker.
If it's overflows - replace the water valve.

Provide the complete model number so I can get you the part numbers.
