I recently got a sears coldspot chest freezer. Very large inside diameters are approx 20 wide 44 3/4 long and 30ish deep. The problem is it runs but does not get cold. I can hear liquid in the compressor like it wants to get cold; or at least that's how it sounds to me. I have a buddy's who has a friend that owns a restaurant and they recharge all their stuff in house. Does this sound like it has a improper charge of freon? The copper tubing inside is all intact from what I can see however non of it gets cold; slightly warm actually. Looking for real input and sick of reading endless threads. The info except the engraving got whipped away with some paint thinner but whats left on the shinny plate but the compressor door is " 198.713441 L304 96249" then off to the side and bottom in small font is "10" "4.4" "1/4" "6.2" the numbers on the compressor are AE232AT-613 E A1673C 449384 AE1410A LRA35.0
Any ideas would be great I would love it if there is some simple way to fix it like getting. Can the freon get old or something from not being used many years or is it always a leak or coil issue with what I'm describing. If there is hope anyone know the kind of freon this takes so I can tell my buddy and kind of get the ball rolling.
Thanks-Mike P.S. tried turning dial from 5 to 7 left it for 12 hours and it actually went up a degree towards ambient temp.

If the compressor is warm and vibrating, it's running without pumping much refrigerant. Either the compressor is bad, or it has a bad refrigerant leak. Probably not worth fixing.
